ENGLAND RUGBY LEAGUE PLAYERS GEAR UP FOR NEW ZEALAND SERIES IN ALL-NEW DACIA DUSTERS

  • Dacia, Principal Partner of England Rugby League, has provided a fleet of All-New Dusters for England players to drive during the Autumn Test series
  • The NRL stars returning from Australia for the matches against New Zealand will be driving the Dusters as the team travels between Hull, Liverpool and Leeds
  • Dacia has partnered with the RFL since 2016 and became official England partner in 2018

As England gear up for their upcoming home series against New Zealand, some of the team’s players have been getting behind the wheel of a fleet of All-New Dusters which have been loaned to them by Dacia, proud partner of England Rugby League.

Several cars have been made available to the squad for players, including brothers George and Tom Burgess, who collected their vehicles on arrival to the UK and will have exclusive use during the international window which encompasses four matches this October and November.

The award winning All-New Duster starts at just £9,995 and features brand new exterior styling with a totally revised interior for enhanced comfort and quality. New technologies, never before available on the Dacia range also feature, such as climate control, keyless entry, blind spot warning and automatic headlights.

Louise O’Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK, said: “As England’s principal partner, we were more than happy to provide the England players with vehicles whilst they are here representing the nation. For us it’s a small gesture, but rugby league is a tight knit game built on local communities and family, and we know that the players really appreciate the freedom that a car provides, allowing them to get around easily whilst they are home.”

On collecting his loan vehicle, Josh Hodgson, Canberra Raiders hooker who previously played for both Hull FC and Hull KR, and will be back on home soil in the first Test at KCOM Stadium on Saturday: “I’ve brought my family over with me from Canberra for a few weeks, and they’re staying in Hull – so it’s been fantastic to have a vehicle sorted out by Dacia to help me get back and forth from our training camps in Manchester and Leeds.”

The games will be the first in the UK since the partnership between Dacia and England Rugby League was announced in June. The landmark deal sees Dacia lending their support to all England teams, appearing on the shirts of the elite men, elite women, wheelchair and Knights players.

About Dacia

Dacia has a long history associated with Renault, the French brand first working with Dacia plants in Romania in the 1960s, before acquiring them fully in 1999. The brand concept is simple: to shake up preconceived ideas. Dacia produces spacious, robust, high-quality vehicles of original design that are affordable for everybody.

Dacia vehicles offer exceptional value for money. Reliable and resistant, they embody the best of Renault expertise. Relaunched by parent company Groupe Renault in 2004, the Dacia range has been expanding constantly and buyers have a wide array of vehicles to choose from, ranging from Dacia Duster, a sporty all-terrain vehicle, to light commercial vehicles or family vehicles such as the Dacia Sandero and Dacia Logan MCV. The concept continues to enjoy great success with over 5 million Dacias sold in Europe since the brand’s revival in 2004.

Dacia launched in the UK in January 2013 and enjoyed the most successful start ever for a new car brand in the UK. Dacia was named Best Value Brand at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2018, voted for by 43,000 real UK car owners. Dacia was one of only four out of 36 manufacturers to receive five-star reliability ratings in the 2017 Which? Car Survey, outperforming many well established and premium brands. The Dacia Sandero has been awarded the title of “Best Small Car under £12,000” by What Car? for six consecutive years (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013). More than 120,000 Dacia vehicles have been sold in the UK to date.
