When lockdown measures continue to ease as a result of COVID-19, retailers will reopen for business with extra care taken to protect customers and employees by implementing a set of regulations to maintain a healthy and safe environment and reassure visiting customers.
Appointments and visits to the showroom will be staggered where possible, and a limit on the number of visitors in the showroom at one time will be in place, while social distancing will be maintained inside and outside.
Renault dealerships will adapt sites to suit, with clear and informative signage to inform and reassure both workers and visitors. Reminders to adhere to social distancing measures will be clear on arrival, while, there will also be clear reminders to sanitise workstations and vehicles to the highest standards.
The latest addition to Dacia’s digital sales tools
The new Online Stock Reservation feature on Dacia.co.uk is easier than ever to use for customers. They simply click to select their desired model to bring up a list of the suitable vehicles, including a choice of best-selling specifications and colour options. After clicking to reserve a vehicle, buyers are directed to fill-out a simple form. Once completed, customers receive a confirmation email and reservation number before being contacted by their chosen dealer to see the process through using the Select and Collect service.
With a wide selection of cars available from stock, in various colour combinations and specifications, the vehicles are typically available for delivery within a couple of weeks. If buyers have more specific colour and specification requirements, an alternative form can be completed to initiate further discussions with a nominated dealer.
The new Online Stock Reservation tool on Dacia.co.uk complements the broad set of tools that enable new Dacia customers to research their new vehicle from the comfort of their own homes.
The Virtual Showroom gives online tours around chosen vehicles – including the
award-winning Duster and Sandero from Dacia, while its dedicated Dacia Buy Online platform allows every stage of purchase to be made online including finance, part exchange and service and warranty packages.
Louise O’Sullivan, Director of Network Operations at Dacia UK, said: “At Dacia, we have a range of ways to browse, choose and buy your car. Our Virtual Showroom lets you take a good look at the latest range from the comfort of your home. Our new Stock Reservation Tool allows you to reserve the Dacia of your choice for collection from your local dealer, whilst our Dacia Buy Online platform lets you to go through the entire new car buying process online, with the added benefit of optional home delivery.
When visiting a dealership, we have a stringent set of measures in place to create the safest possible environment for you and our staff – be that now to collect or maintain a vehicle or inside our showrooms to browse when they fully open when Government restrictions allow.

About Dacia
Dacia has a long history associated with Renault, the French brand first working with Dacia plants in Romania in the 1960s, before acquiring them fully in 1999. The brand concept is simple: to shake up preconceived ideas. Dacia produces spacious, robust, high-quality vehicles of original design that are affordable for everybody.
Dacia vehicles offer exceptional value for money. Reliable and resistant, they embody the best of Renault expertise. Relaunched by parent company Groupe Renault in 2004, the Dacia range has been expanding constantly and buyers have a wide array of vehicles to choose from, ranging from Dacia Duster, a sporty all-terrain vehicle, to light commercial vehicles or family vehicles such as the Dacia Sandero and Dacia Logan MCV. The concept continues to enjoy great success with over 5.8 million Dacias sold in Europe since the brand’s revival in 2004.
Dacia launched in the UK in January 2013 and enjoyed the most successful start ever for a new car brand in the UK. In 2019, Groupe Renault was awarded ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ at the TopGear.com annual awards. Dacia was named Best Value Brand at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2018, voted for by 43,000 real UK car owners. Dacia was one of only four out of 36 manufacturers to receive five-star reliability ratings in the 2017 Which? Car Survey, outperforming many well established and premium brands. The Dacia Sandero has been awarded the title of “Best Value Car less than £10,000” by What Car? for the eighth consecutive year while the Duster has won the prize for the “Best Family SUV less than £20,000” for two years running (2020, 2019). More than 150,000 Dacia vehicles have been sold in the UK to date.
